When you visit my website

My website provides information about my salon and services. I do not use a contact form, online booking accounts, payment facilities, advertising pixels or visitor analytics here. My website itself does not set cookies or use local storage. I serve photographs, fonts and other page assets with the website rather than embedding social media feeds or maps.

I use Cloudflare to host and deliver my website. It may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and requests to keep the site available, deliver pages and protect against misuse. My purpose and legitimate interest are to keep my website operating reliably and securely. Cloudflare’s processing, retention and international transfer arrangements are explained in its privacy policy. Security features enabled by the hosting provider may use strictly necessary technology.

When you contact me

If you call or send a WhatsApp message, I receive the information you choose to share. This may include your name, telephone number, appointment preferences, messages and hair photographs. I use it to answer your enquiry and arrange your requested appointment, on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing that contract.

Please only send photographs you are entitled to share and avoid sending unnecessary health information through social messages. I’ll discuss any consultation information needed for your service directly with you. This notice covers my website and initial enquiries. I need to explain how I use salon consultation records and any other information I collect during your visit when I collect it.

External services and sharing

WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Google are external services. Clicking their links takes you away from this website, where their own privacy policies and terms apply. They may process data outside the UK. Your messages are handled through the communication service you choose; the website does not automatically send messages or make bookings.

I may also disclose information where required by law. I do not sell your personal information or collect it through this website for advertising.

Keeping information

Information should only be kept for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to an enquiry, arranging an appointment and meeting any relevant legal obligations. I do not maintain an enquiry database on this website. I manage copies of messages in WhatsApp and any records I keep separately, and you can contact me to ask about them or request deletion. Technical data processed by Cloudflare is managed under its applicable retention arrangements.

Photographs and review excerpts

I display photographs of my salon, examples of my hairdressing work and attributed review excerpts on this website. If a photograph or review identifies you and you have a question or would like to request its removal, please contact me using the details above.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Contact me first if you have a concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Changes to this notice

If I change my website’s features or how I use your data, I’ll update this notice. There are currently no non-essential website cookies requiring a consent banner.
